in Puerto Rico, one of our favorite places in the world.
Our Story
Some may say it started in the Vanderbilt training hall… some may say it started at the Windy City ball… some may even say it started at the Bassment (that dance floor is wild yall), but those who know will tell you it really began after a tequila shot (or 4) at a place near and dear to our hearts - Federales in Chicago’s West Loop.
Six years later, after a stint in a 5th floor walk up in NYC, a Covid summer in Nashville, and a squeeze into a cozy 390 sqft studio in Ann Arbor, we’re happy to report we’re back where it all began in Chicago. We’ve added a goofy Giant Schnoodle, Reesie Puff, to the family and can’t wait to be married in May!
Why Puerto Rico
Gena spent her childhood traveling to her family’s home on Vieques aka “Isla Nena”, an island off the east coast of Puerto Rico. The days spent on secluded beaches peppered with wild horses and nights spent visiting the bioluminescent bay made for magical memories.
Fitz made his first journey to the island in early 2023 and after sampling pina coladas at nearly every venue PR has to offer, we found the perfect place to celebrate our marriage with all of our favorite people. We can’t wait to share this special place with you!
